Tarik Clarke ( @Madurojerk) is a self taught portrait, figurative, and narrative artist working in different mediums including charcoal, graphite, acrylics and oil pastels from Harlem, New York.
His work is influenced by Afro Caribbean and Afro Latin Culture. With a nod to Expressionism and Realism, Madurojerk uses classical painting techniques to tell a more contemporary story. “My goal is to bridge a gap of cultural figurative artistic representation.”
